University Prof. interested in our work.

I am posting part of an email received today in response to some of our research on Carhagouha and other Champlain sites. I will follow up re a meeting, probably in the fall as we are booked till August and encourage anyone from the chapter who may wish to pursue this project at the university level to give this serious consideration for at least a couple of papers if not more.

"I am impressed by the amount of research that you have done to find the archaeological remains of Carhagouha.....  Your suggestion in your PowerPoint presentation to pursue a research grant to locate Carhagouha and other Champlain period Wendat villages is a good one. I would be interested in collaborating with the Huronia Chapter on doing such research, but not this summer -.... A visit to a Huronia Chapter meeting in the late spring or early summer would be a good thing to talk about the plans of the Chapter."|
